Follow Friday #015

Follow Friday is hosted by

This Week's Question: Q: Have you had a character that disappointed you? One that you fell in love with and then "broke up" with later on in either the series or a stand-alone book? Tell us about him or her.

I think the closest I can come to answering that is the way I became severely disenchanted with Peeta during Mockingjay thanks to the brainwashing he underwent that made him hate Katniss. I loved Peeta & the way he behaved, even though it wasn't really his fault, just made me want to say goodbye to you! But then I fell back in love with him. So it's all good! :D

Comment if you decide to follow me. I'd love to read your blog and follow you too!

  1. I didn't like him in Mockingjay either. Course, I never really loved him that much to begin with, but I didn't dislike him until Mockingjay.

  2. Hopping through. I'd forgotten about that part of Mockingjay. I figured Katniss deserved it.

  3. I just about had a heart attack until you saved me in the last sentence by saying you fell back in love with Peeta. Phew! Poor Peeta. He takes so much abuse, but in the end, he is able to be true to himself. I never really "broke up" with Peeta, but I sure was mad at President Snow (and kind of Suzanne Collins) for a good chunk of Mockingjay for doing that to him. Why would anyone want to torture Peeta?

  4. I've seen a lot of Gale tonight but no Peeta. Nice answer.

  5. I think the change in Katniss bothered me more in Mockinjay than Peeta, though I picked Gale for my own post!

  7. Thanks for following me, here is your comment & follow back! :-)

  8. I get what you're saying about Peeta but I had a harder time with Gale. He did a complete 180 and turned into a character that I just didn't like anymore.

  9. I'm probably the ONLY one who hasn't yet read The Hunger Games.
Hopping trough to return the follow favor. :-)
Thanks for stopping by Book that Thing!
    Happy Friday

  10. Hopping through~~!

Oh, we both have a Hunger Games answer. ;) Except I wrote about Gale. And it's funny how the exact same event that made me love Peeta a lot more, made you start disliking him! I think that the whole brainwashing thing added more depth to his character. He wasn't so 'pure' anymore. :)

  15. I'm still on the fence with Peeta! Now the boy with the traps? Yeah, he might just have my soul.

  16. I agree, although I was mostly too busy during this part to do anything else but sob a bit. xD

  18. What is with all the Gale fans up in here? :D Guess that means I get Peeta all to myself.
